Dear Claude51rouge,
I am sorry to hear that you have not thoroughly enjoyed your stay at our hotel, and I thank you anyway for using part of your precious time to review your experience. Coming to the details, food is a very personal topic, everyone has their tastes, and even if we try, it is almost impossible to satisfy everyone. For our part, we are still quite happy because 90% of our customers appreciate our cuisine very much and I think this is an outstanding result. The temperature of the food is also a personal matter. Some would like boiling food, and some others appreciate it less hot. For our buffets we use electric chafer dishes with cover, always set up to the maximum heat. In chafer dishes, some foods remain hotter than others; they hardly remain boiling but still always warm enough. It may be that some meals were not hot enough according to your taste, but I exclude that they were "cold" (at least according to the majority of our guests). The fact that both, me and my executive chef, were always present (a must during meal services) cannot have much influence on the warmth of the food in the chafer dishes, except for the fact that we often have to close the covers left open by customers, which is the main reason for the possible cooling of the food. Of course, we always have to try to improve, and for this reason, we are still attentive to criticism to find solutions and new ideas to increase the quality of our services. Your criticism of breakfast, however, leaves me somewhat confusing. Every morning we set up breakfast with: three live cooking stations (Crepes and waffles with at least three types of dressing, shan soup and eggs cooked in any way possible), then in the buffet we prepare: 6 types of raw vegetables with olives and at least 2 types of salty dressing, sliced ham and cheese, at least two kinds of fruit juice and flavoured water, three types of cereals, milk and yogurt, raisins and cashews nuts, at least three varieties of fresh fruit, steamed mixed vegetables, roasted potatoes and tomatoes, bacon and sausages, stewed beans, sauteed rice and noodles, at least four kind of bread, three types of jam, butter, at least two kinds of cake, croissants and danishes. On request, we can serve other types of juice or soya milk. Beyond this, of course, coffee, cappuccino, espresso and different kinds of tea, brown sugar, white sugar, sweetener and honey. At this point, I would be interested to know why he believes that our breakfast is "boring" and "not too extensive". I am also sorry that you have felt cold in the restaurant, the agencies should warn that January-February here on Inle lake the temperatures are not tropical and in the evening, outside, they can reach around 11/12 degrees Celsius. Inside the restaurant, we have temperatures never below 17/18 degrees, not cold enough to justify a heating system but certainly not comfortable for those not adequately covered.
Lastly, I can assure you that our beverage prices are absolutely in line with any 4/5 star hotel in the area, indeed, on some things we are even lower.
We hope to welcome you again as our distinguished guest to show you that improvement it's always our accomplishment.
Best Regards
