We just arrived home from a 10 day stay at Harbourside. We had a comfortable, updated unit with a great view of the marina. What stood out for us the most was the amazing service that we experienced. Rosemarie in housekeeping was fantastic and Raymond who assisted with our transport. During our stay I needed to get a fair amount of documents printed and while there is no business centre, both Blanche and Nay could not have been more helpful and accommodating to find a solution. They certainly helped me out of what was becoming a real challenge for me. Thank you
There were 2 cleaning ladies on floor 12 of The Coral, Mildred & Lisa. They were so kind, always greeted us, and were especially nice to my small children. Little things like that go a long way. The Coral does need some updating. Things like rusty doors, or caulking in the bathroom. The resort food is average but CRAZY expensive. This resort makes Vegas look cheap. This island tourism was smashed from COVID for 2 years. If you want people coming back, lower the prices a bit. You can go to Mexico for like $1500 a person, all inclusive. If you have children that will use the waterpark, it is worth it. Our shuttle company (Big Mamas Tours), that we booked through Orbitz, left us at the airport because they said we were late (our bag got lost and we waited 45 minutes in the airport looking for it), and did not show up to take us back to the airport. Do yourself a favor, and just get a cab from the airport to the hotel ($40-$55), depending on your group size. No need to book a private shuttle for $110 each way. I disputed the charge and received my money back.…
The Harborside provides self-catering, condo-style units adjacent (and part of) the Atlantis Resort complex on Paradise Island. There is a restaurant/bar on site but expect to pay about $15 per drink and the food is on the expensive side. There is a grocery and liquor store within easy walking distance, so we stocked up on basic breakfast and snack/drink items. Harborside guests enjoy access to most of the amenities at the Atlantis. There is a convenient regular shuttle service. Ours was a 1-bedroom unit with a separate living/dining/kitchen area. The unit was very clean and comfortably furnished and had a nice view of the pool and Nassau Harbour from the small terrace. Overall, we had a good experience but there was an issue the first day, with the refrigerator leaking water all over the floor (it was fixed the same day) and we had to ask for a blanket for our bed (there was only a sheet provided). We did have a very serious issue with the internet service, which was just absolutely terrible! and they charged $25 per day for it too! My Husband had to use the internet for work during our stay and he was not at all happy to say the least! We had to call the IT guy in several times to work on the connection problem but even he couldn't fix it. Very frustrating especially during these times when you have to upload your Covid-19 test results before leaving the Bahamas - try doing that with no internet. This was definitely a major source of annoyance, stress and very inconvenient. My Husband had no choice but to do some work and it ruined what should have been a relaxing time for him. We were not the only guests who experienced internet problems here, we met several other guests who were having the same issues. OK that said, the unit was very nice, the staff friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our stay despite the problems. We just had to make the best of it. Would we go back? The answer is unfortunately, probably not.…
