To phatollie, thank you very much for taking the trouble of such a comprehensive review. Im planning to use this hotel on my own this time next year. Do you happen to have a photograph of your room, and was it a room of adequate size and storage please. Thanks Reba1946
We didn’t take any but if you look under Room/suites (Traveler photos) the fourth one in taken by CodyDC is a good view of our room. Bed, nightstands and coffee area on one side; long desk on opposite wall and chair/table by window. It wasn’t huge but roomy enough that we were comfortable. And we had two suitcases each plus backpacks because we were at the end of a month-long trip. Hope that helps!
I agree - the deluxe rooms are larger that the other. Whenever we travel, we always book 1 level about the standard, and that is usually deluxe. Also, many hotels give you the room size. Of course, if they give me the size if sq ft, I'm happy. In meter, not so.
I think RCarrin must be describing a different hotel, as I don't believe the Park Hyatt has rooms below the 43rd floor.
All of the rooms are spacious. I prefer the deluxe rooms. They are about 600 square feet (55 sq.m.), and have a large walk-in closet. The regular rooms are around 500 feet; I believe they also have large closet but am not sure. Even better are the corner deluxe rooms. But anyway you slice it, the rooms are well above standard hotel size.
What I like about the hotel is how spacious it feels, and how serene. Even the smell is special. The only downside is that the location is not super convenient. But that depends on what you want to do, and how you prefer to get around.
Thanks so much for your very prompt reply
