It was fantastic. We were picked up and driven to the castle where the cooking class was held. Chef Alberto met us at the door and gave us bit of history of the place and introduced us to the menu we would be preparing. Then it was down to business making focaccia and pasta from scratch, followed by Etruscan chicken, zucchini and of course tiramisu. It was hands on and we learned a lot of new things and a lot of techniques. The meal at the end with the fine wine was superb. Chef Alberto is not only a great chef, he is also an interesting and fine person. 5 stars!!

Excellent typical place. Welcoming environment, good Apulian cuisine accompanied by excellent wines. Friendly and prepared staff. I recommend it for a dinner with friends. There is also a large garden for outdoor dining.

Our family of five had a wonderful experience at Good Tastes of Tuscany. We signed up for the Vegan cooking class and couldn’t have been happier with our chef instructor Alicia. We started with coffee in the villa as we were briefed on the five courses we would be preparing. We made homemade pici pasta and the accompanying sauce, an excellent bean dish, an eggplant dish, stuffed artichokes and poached pears. Alicia was a fun, organized and knowledgeable instructor and the food was fantastic! We all sat down family style at the end with nice wine and enjoyed our creations. We would definitely recommend!

The steak was tender , service was excellant. My wife is vegetarian and she enjoyed her Vegetable Soup and Eggplant Parmigiano.

A frustrating experience recently that is hopefully an outlier. Upon arrival, our chef was nice but frantically preparing a menu and locating items through the kitchen. There was no real warm welcome. We had to wait about 30 minutes for groceries from the grocery store to use, during which we just stood around awkwardly. We were told the meal was vegetarian and our chef was a vegetarian chef with a restaurant in Florence. The problem is, he was (forced?) to use recipes from a book on display in the industrial kitchen we were in that he was unfamiliar with.
Instead of being a calm, fun experience, this class was filled with 5-10 phone calls from the chef asking where various tools and pans and implements were. When telling us how to make his vegetarian broth, he discovered two of the three ingredients (white onion and celery, basic ingredients a kitchen should have) were nowhere to be found. This chef was cooking from a recipe book that he was unfamiliar with so there was a lot of “hmm” and questions coming from him towards the recipes, which took much longer to do because of the unfamiliarity. Because of this, our group of four was basically working one at a time and taking turns due to lack of familiarity.
Because of all this trouble, we never finished cooking all the items we should have. We spent over an hour prepping a short crust pastry and filling for it, as well as cracking eggs for meringue. Mind you, the kitchen did not even have the proper tin for this dessert so it was doomed from the start. The owner had to run out and get cupcake tins, which the pastry did not work with.
The third item of the meal, a delicious risotto, was finished right at the 5 hour mark at 3PM. Our chef had to leave but we basically asked politely how to taste the pastry and cream. He threw something together but we never made meringue. In the last 20 minutes, we had to eat a full plate of creamy blue cheese risotto and a small pastry tart. Even though we ran out of time with the chef, we were never made welcome to stay and finish our dessert. We had to quickly eat it, without meringue and out of a tin that was incorrect. We were not allowed to stay despite never finishing our meal and were essentially kicked out by the owner.
This was the worst experience and an absolute WASTE of a day in beautiful Firenze.

Philopenia and carlo took very good care of us on out tour of the Tuscany which in our case included a side trip to Pisa. They were very concerned for our wellfare. We are an older couple and we didn't move as fast as the group. Thet slowed the crowd down and made sure we were confortable with all of the walking
They both did a wonderful job for us and the group.

We began the class, and once we dispensed with a bit of stereotypical italian male behaviour, the class continued, and with our very experienced chef and two others we learnt a lot, cooked some great food, which we had a good time eating at the end, and had a lot of fun in the process. There was also good consideration for the one participant who was gluten intolerant. Have no hesitation in recommending this class to anyone.

There were 3 other people taking the course. I was the only vegan but they made allowances for me and without inconveniencing the others (by providing vegan mozzarella). Our teacher was an experienced local chef who'd worked in many of Florence’s 5 star restaurants and knew the Tuscan cuisine inside out. Many tips came our way during the course of the day such as don’t tip the pasta out of the boiling water when it’s done, instead use tongs so you don’t damage the pasta and you retain the water for use in your pesto so you can thin it to your taste!
Having spent the morning preparing stock, tomato sauce, walnut pesto, ribollita (Tuscan peasant soup), handmade pasta, eggplant parmigiana and artichoke salad under Chef's guidance (he allocated us individual jobs and we worked together to complete each task) we sat together and ate it together with a bottle of the estate’s own wine. An excellent day, and certainly the most informative cookery class I’ve ever taken.

Deltok på to dagers matlagingskurs i Villa Pandolfini.

Oh my, where to start! My mom and I had the most memorable and truly magical time at this private cooking class in an authentic Tuscan Villa! Chef Moretti was the absolute best teacher. We cooked and laughed and listened to opera - it all felt like some kind of surreal dream. Our menu was as follows:
-Focaccia Bread
-Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli
-Tuscan Chicken with Sautéed Artichoke
-Pannacotta with Fresh Strawberry Sauce
YES! We learned how to make all of this! Chef Moretti was totally hands on and greeted us with coffee (me) and wine (my mom) as soon as we walked in the door. His charm and kindness was infectious and set the tone for the entire day. Later on, the owner came by and was kind and generous enough to give us a tour of one of her villas. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it!

Hi, we have attended and enjoyed several cooking classes, but can’t seem to get an answer from them now. Have they closed? Are the operating still? If so how do we contact them?

We are staying in Florence. Is it fairly easy to get to without a car?
Verfasst am 24. September 2016
You can also take the train for E2.60 from SMN to LaS. It takes about 25minutes. Easy to buy tickets from the red machines in both stations. It the local train to Pisa. Turn left then left again when you get out in Lastra a Signa.

I would like to know if we can get a cooking class with no pork or shellfish.
What is the cost for two adults?
Thank you!
Verfasst am 17. Jänner 2015
The cost for us per adult for the 1/2 day class was 78 euros. I am sure if you contacted them that they could try and accommodate you.
