We began the class, and once we dispensed with a bit of stereotypical italian male behaviour, the class continued, and with our very experienced chef and two others we learnt a lot, cooked some great food, which we had a good time eating at the end, and had a lot of fun in the process. There was also good consideration for the one participant who was gluten intolerant. Have no hesitation in recommending this class to anyone.

There were 3 other people taking the course. I was the only vegan but they made allowances for me and without inconveniencing the others (by providing vegan mozzarella). Our teacher was an experienced local chef who'd worked in many of Florence’s 5 star restaurants and knew the Tuscan cuisine inside out. Many tips came our way during the course of the day such as don’t tip the pasta out of the boiling water when it’s done, instead use tongs so you don’t damage the pasta and you retain the water for use in your pesto so you can thin it to your taste!

Having spent the morning preparing stock, tomato sauce, walnut pesto, ribollita (Tuscan peasant soup), handmade pasta, eggplant parmigiana and artichoke salad under Chef's guidance (he allocated us individual jobs and we worked together to complete each task) we sat together and ate it together with a bottle of the estate’s own wine. An excellent day, and certainly the most informative cookery class I’ve ever taken.

Deltok på to dagers matlagingskurs i Villa Pandolfini. Laget 5 klassiske, nydelige retter hver dag - masse gode tips og fantastiske smaker. Vin til maten. Vi hadde to forskjellige kokker, begge var superdyktige på hver sin måte - og kjempedyktige til å lære fra seg. Veldig profft opplegg, nyttig, inspirerende og med god steming. Passe gruppestørrelse - 8 stykker - vi fikk både se, lukte, smake, lage og lære. Besøkte markedet den ene dagen, var lærerikt det også. Kan anbefale matlagningskurset på det varmeste, det oversteg langt mine forventninger.

Oh my, where to start! My mom and I had the most memorable and truly magical time at this private cooking class in an authentic Tuscan Villa! Chef Moretti was the absolute best teacher. We cooked and laughed and listened to opera - it all felt like some kind of surreal dream. Our menu was as follows:

-Focaccia Bread
-Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli
-Tuscan Chicken with Sautéed Artichoke
-Pannacotta with Fresh Strawberry Sauce

YES! We learned how to make all of this! Chef Moretti was totally hands on and greeted us with coffee (me) and wine (my mom) as soon as we walked in the door. His charm and kindness was infectious and set the tone for the entire day. Later on, the owner came by and was kind and generous enough to give us a tour of one of her villas. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it!

We loved our cooking experience with Chef Alberto. We stayed in Florence and arranged for transfers along with the cooking experience. It was so easy and seamless. It may have been the only evening of vacation with no arguing! We are a family of 4 with a 20 year old and 14 year old. Two vegans and two who eat everything. They were incredible at accommodating our varied dietary requirements. It was fun, we learned new cooking techniques that we now practice at home and the food was delicious!!! It was worth the money. The memories are priceless.

Chaperoned a group of 25 high school students on a tour through Florence and this was part of the trip. It is always nerve-racking bringing teenagers into an experience like this because not everyone knows how to engage them. The staff were incredible though, and I was thoroughly impressed with how they organised the group, kept them busy the entire time, and kept the kids safe. We even had 3 gluten free girls and they were pulled aside and given their own private workshop making a gluten free version of everything that the group made. At one point, I looked over to the corner table and I had 8 very energetic students engaged in an organised pasta rolling competition. Most importantly though, I heard the kids laughing, as all of the chefs cracked jokes and played around with the teenagers to keep them engaged. There was so much food too! Along with the rest of our group, I had10 hungry teenage boys eat at-least 3-4 portions and there were still leftovers. Food was amazing!

This class was the highlight of our trip. They offered a gluten free class where I learned to make multiple items, one of them being Tiramisu. It was not rushed at all. The chef was so amazing to listen and learn from. The nicest people you could meet. I highly recommend to anyone coming to the area!!

My father and I did week long intense cooking classes. Classes included a ton of information. Daily we cooked five course meals. The head chef even explained how you could modify two things and change the dish to something completely different. In total I walked away with over 40 tips and tricks and a recipe book for more inspiration.
Outside of classes, the course offers stuff to do. For example, my father loves horseback riding, so we asked the host of the cooking classes to make the arrangements. It was awesome, she set us up with someone without any issues (and he lived right up the road)!

If you have the chance to take this cooking class, seize it!

We started out the day by buying fresh ingredients from the market in Florence, after which we traveled to the castle for our cooking class! Chef Luciano then expertly guided us through our menu for the day which consisted of delicious focaccia (seasoned with herbs grown in the castle grounds), a delightful spinach and ricotta ravioli, the most tender chicken, and the BEST tiramisu we've ever had (which he transformed into a cake since there was a birthday in our group).

With his great sense of humor, amazing culinary, and teaching ability, our cooking class with Chef Luciano was easily the highlight of our trip to Tuscany and an unbelievable introduction into Tuscan cuisine.

A must do.

Chef Luciano (or Macchiato, according to our young son) was so good with our family's group. After we arrived at the gorgeous villa and were given a short tour of the old wine cellar, we proceeded to the kitchen where we were greeted with espresso and homemade biscotti. From there it just got better - not only did we learn recipes and get hands-on experience through cooking our delicious meal with Luciano, we gained several tips, techniques, and bits of Italian kitchen wisdom just through talking with him. We made amazing memories - just a delightful way to spend a day of our time in Florence. Luciano is a wonderful, good-spirited man and a talented chef and teacher. I very much hope to return some day.
