My husband & I are avid sporting clays shooters and have shot many places all over the country & we love Flying Rabbit. It’s an easy drive from Massanutten Resort and not far off the highway (81). Traps are auto (with card readers) and are always functional. Family owners/staff very friendly, responsive & helpful. The course is challenging with a variety of birds & rabbits. Shooting stations have added charms such as wagon wheels and landscape items. We also enjoyed the wobble and 5-stand. If you shoot (or want to learn); Flying Rabbit is a must while in the Harrisonburg VA area! 🎯

Shooting a gun was foreign and what is a sporting clay? I still call it shooting clays. I had a good instructor who taught me how to hold a shotgun and aim at the moving clay target. It was a new experience for me. The business emphasized safety and I commend the instructor!

Several years ago my wife and I decided to spend our anniversary in the valley at a B&B. For something to do while there we stopped by Flying Rabbit. Every year since then we have returned, we change what B&B we stay at but always return to Flying Rabbit for our annual stroll through the woods. Sporting clay combines the joys of an afternoon stroll with skeet shooting. But what makes it more enjoyable is unlike skeet shooting you take your time. It is not constant shooting, It's shoot walk and shoot some more. For those who enjoy the fast pace of skeet or trap those are also offered.

Went out for a business trip and loved it. The course is laid out great and it is very challenging. I hadn't shot skeet in a few years before going but still had a blast. Looking to go back in 2017 more often.

Let's begin with it's location, the field or range is in the middle of a huge cornfield, how great is that! Mind you we're from Florida, we don't see corn fields, but i digress. The instructor, whose name slips my mind at present, was welcoming, instructional and courteous. With his pin point accurate tips and instructions on proper shooting techniques we all, in short time began to hit all of our targets.

I enjoy trap shooting but have never done sporting clay. The place is quite challenging. However, it was very enjoyable for both my wife (a novice) and myself.

Okay, who doesn't want to shoot sporting clays at a club called the "Flying Rabbit?"
I got the opportunity to shoot there while visiting Shenandoah National Park. My non-shooter wife and daughter weren't as keen to visit the Flying Rabbit as I was. However, the protests stopped as we drove down the driveway through some beautiful farm country. My daughter had a great time serving as my trapper (she operated the remote controller and picked up my empties.) The course had a good variety of targets and the folks there are friendly. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you visit the Flying Rabbit!

I shoot clays at home and we decided that we'd try the Flying Rabbit while on vacation last year. The folks there were as hospitable as you could ever hope for. The course was great - very different from what I am used to and that was nice. We had a great time and went back later in the week for another round. I plan to go again this summer. If you like shooting sporting clays, you can't do better.
