Stickman trail: this was a rather disappointing trail, there were no characters on the trail and a bit of a let down, the information on the website did not make clear that the characters are not on the trail.

It was a lovely place to visit. Unfortunately, it was spoilt by having to pay £4 an hour to park! It is absolutely disgusting that we have to pay that much to walk around a natural setting.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Bedgebury is a leading botanic garden and home to the most complete collection of conifers in the world, over one third of which are threatened with extinction.
Bedgebury generates its income from vehicle admission, events and business partners. This income is invested back into the National Conifer Collection at Bedgebury as well as maintaining the paths, play equipment and cycle trails.
Whilst some income is spent maintaining the visitor experience; it is also invested in tree conservation, science and learning activities. The impact of these programmes on global tree conservation efforts is demonstrated very well in several projects we support.
We often find visitors extend their visit for a full day to take advantage of our day rate of £14.50. For regular visitors we offer a great value annual membership package that is the best way to support us. We hope we can welcome you back to Bedgebury again one day.

We had a fantastic time at Christmas at Bedgebury last night. There really was something for everyone. As a family with 2 teenagers and 2 adults, we all found it to be a really magical and uplifting evening out. In particular we really loved the mushroom light display, the 'dancing water sequence', the 4 seasons reflection onto the water (not sure it was named this - this was our take on it), the fire lanterns, and the strobe/Christmas club tune sequence! Thanks so much Bedgebury, we will be back!

Amazing family outing. Lights were fantastic and beautiful seeing the forest lit up at night. Very well organised event. We would highly recommend.

We had a gorgeous evening at the Christmas Lights at Bedgebury. It was a stunning display and even kept the two teenagers entranced. Whilst there were lots of people it never felt crowded and was easy to enjoy at our own pace. And get some lovely pictures!

Bedgebury itself throughout the year is great, nice location and facilities, maybe parking is a bit pricey. I recently visited the Christmas lights event and it is very nice and pretty but the event is really overpriced and when you are in their the drinks and food is also frankly overpriced. One of my pet hates is when you are in an event or venue and they really capitalise on the situation that they have a monopoly and charge higher than normal amounts for basic food and drink. If the entry fee was less or if you were at least given something for it other than purely entry into the event then it would improve the overall experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Bedgebury generates its income from vehicle admission, business partners and events like the Christmas at Bedgebury lights trail. For Christmas at Bedgebury we offer reduced price tickets at off-peak times and dates, we also offer a reduced price for family tickets and under 2’s can visit for free. We hope we can welcome you back to Bedgebury again one day.

We visited Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest Christmas Lights display on Saturday 30th November 2024. We had never been before, but were totally amazed by how good it was. We are Forest England National members and were fortunate enough to get free parking. You must remember to book your parking when buying your online tickets. The displays were wonderful, the music was very fitting for each section and would definitely go again. We took our adult son and his girlfriend and we all had a lovely time. It is also dog friendly, although we didn’t take our two on this occasion. Unfortunately, the Mac n Cheese stand wasn’t that great, it was very dry and we had to throw it away but the hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows were delicious. I am hoping to take my elderly in-laws if we can before the end of the season as my mother-in-law has dementia but I know she would love the displays, especially the fountains at the lake. Father Christmas (in his Nordic cabin) was a friendly chap too and the kids all loved him. The walk is on a circular, one way path and suitable in most places for wheelchair users or pushchairs.

We visited Bedgegbury at Christmas, what a amazing evening out, well worth the money all the hard work that goes into this light spectacular. I thought the themes this year were the best. We took my grandson who is 10 months and he absolutely loved it. Food we had a pizza between 2 and my daughter had a waffle. If you want to save on money take a few snacks as this can rank up the cost of the evening. Thank you to all who put on this wonderful show we will be back. The photos really don't do it justice.

it's free to go in but there is a charge for car parking. Peak time (weekends, school holidays and bank holidays) £14 all day; off peak time (weekdays Mondays to Fridays) £10 all day; any day early bird (8 am and leave by 11 am) £3.50 and late afternoon (April to September only, arrive at 5 pm and leave at close) £3.50.

The cost is per vehicle as follows:
Peak time (weekends, school holidays and bank holidays) £14 for all day.
Off peak (weekdays Mon to Fri during term time) £10 for all day
Early morning (8 am to 11 am) £3.50
Late afternoon (5 pm to close) £3.50

There are 16 accessible parking spaces.

Hello, there's a free period of up to 20 minutes at the visitor centre car park that you can use to drop people off or collect them. I'd recommend that children are supervised whilst visiting, so unless they're meeting an adult there it's a great place for the whole family.

For the go ape is it suitable to wear shorts and a t-shirt in hot weather or do you have to have long sleeves and trousers?
