Go Ape is great, I’ve visited several around the country but the car parking is not clear when booking, for Bedgebury.
It’s £14.50 to park! Disgraceful
How can this process be justified. There should be a concessions for customers who book.

Taken sister, niece and nephew go ape had a good enjoy full day. The weather could of been better but after all it was one of the best day so far.

Reasonable go ape ( not as good as Leeds castle) unfortunately extortionate parking makes a pricy few hours ridiculous. Not go apes fault as such, more down to our thieves of a forestry commission.

Expensive and pretty dull.
Did this course a few years ago and there were many more options and it was quite challenging. Went with my nephews and it cost a fortune. The experience was extremely underwhelming.
The course was less challenging and seemed a lot shorter. Spent and hour waiting to do the last challenge.
For the price, the general public deserve a lot more.
Our guide couldn’t be bothered either. He spoke to us like he couldn’t be bothered with the entire ordeal.
I was a supervisor in which I had a lot of responsibility over 3 children yet, whilst on the cause 3 children, under age and below height limit, were messing around with absolutely no supervisor or parental control. Let’s hope they didn’t get into difficulties! Completely against the rules and regulations of the company.

Positives
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable
Various different climbs suitable for all levels of ability
Negatives
Poorly sign posted (drove past venue 3 times)
Poor signposting for toilets you walk right to the top of the hill only to have to walk back on you're self to the toilets
Biggest disappointment was having paid 100 pound to go there I then had to pay another 14 pound to park and you only get one hours worth of climbing

As these car parks are owned and operated by Forestry England, Go Ape regrettably has no input over the entrance or parking fees, but we do advise customers via our website under the “How to get here: By car” and via the Site information sheet that is attached to the email confirmation of the parking fees ahead of the adventure. Information about parking charges is also included in the "are you ready for tomorrow" email.
I am so very sorry if you missed this prior to making your booking, but I hope this provides you with some clarity as to the car parking fees and where we try to advise of these. I will also be passing on your feedback to the relevant team to see if this is something we could arrange with Forestry England in the future, but if you would like to discuss these fees further, we would advise reaching out to Forestry England directly.

Had an absolute stunning day! Made friends with Bear, Imogen and Joe S they were all absolute babes and deserve a pay rise.

This was our 4th time at the junior/junior+ experience and by far the worst. It was so, so ridiculously crowded. Kids were getting bunched up on platforms, having to wait up to 10 minutes per platform. A couple of ridiculously slow kids were holding up everyone but this should be factored in. There were at least 10+ large groups of kids coming through. Overall was such a poor experience. Waste of money. Don’t go on weekends. So disappointed.

Brilliant morning Going Ape at Bedgebury with my family. Yes parking is expensive, but you can either make a day of it and enjoy the beauty of bedgebury or you can plan to do an early session and leave before 11am. Having visited bedgebury previously and wanting to visit just for go ape we did the latter. We had a wonderful experience with excellent service from all of the go ape staff we encountered. It's a really fun course (we did tree top adventure plus) and our early slot meant it was quiet enough to get to enjoy without being stuck behind others. It would be great if there could be some discount on the parking for people only visiting go ape but I think it would likely be tricky to enforce to make sure people don't also visit other parts of the park. It is really beautiful there and well worth planning to enjoy the whole place if you can't get there early.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED £ 14. A Full days parking just to do GO APE.
This is a total rip off as we did not want to visit the All day only do Go Ape.
This should be sorted out as it’s a joke, ruined the experience for us.
Money is tight for everyone BEDGEBURY, when it becomes even tighter watch out.

3 stars because of the most expensive parking ever. We had to pay 14 pounds for 2 hours only. Be there 6AM to worth the parking.

Is there any way you could ever be completely un-clipped on the course? how safe are the ropes?

Hi, I dont fancy paying £12 parking when I'll only be there a couple of hours, seems pretty extortionate to me, can I park anywhere else? Like on road?? Thanks ☺

The site is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I think that's how they get away with charging. The road to it is quite narrow so I wouldn't recommend parking on it. When I went the exit barrier was broken so check it on your way in and you may get away with not paying

Probably best to book in advance as it can get busy.,maybe you can phone at last minute,just on the off chance.Enjoy.

Possibly I did the junior one with my at the time 8 and 6yr olds and the 8yr old flew round after the first run however with a while group together it could be really good fun for them all cheering each other on!

I am in my late 60 and my very healthy husband 78 we were hoping to go ape with 4 other adultsand a boy of 14 Would that be possible?

I have done all the wires at Go Ape, if you are not agile you will not make it round. Your require strong upper body strength and to be reasonably fit and in good health with no heart conditions.
If you are afraid of heights I personally wouldn't recommend it, as once you are up there and going along the ropes there's no turning back. The guides are around on the ground to make sure your alright but that's all they can do. All safety procedures are talked through at the beginning and a trial near to the ground.
However after considering all the above if your fit & well Go for it! Enjoy your day :)

i am in my late 60,s and my husband 78 We were thinking of having a family day out 4 other adults and my grandson of 14 would it be ok I am rather nervous!

I am not a fan of heights but I enjoyed it. As long as you are mobile it definitely raise your heart rate but you can always miss sections out. Most sections have a less stressful route. As a team effort it is very rewarding. I am over weight, unfit and have a more than healthy fear of heights. At most it is equal to looking over a 1st or 2nd floor balcony. You need to be able to climb ladders, crawl, hold a wire while walking on a rope and possibly your dignity. I went with my daughter and her friend, we all enjoyed the day. I hope you have fun and enjoy the adventure.

Roughly how long would it take for a group of 4 adults to complete the course and can you go round again ?

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. The car parking fees are a site entry fee and are applied to each vehicle by the Forestry Commission to pay for services and facilities that are not supplied by on site businesses such as Go Ape. This includes general infrastructure, washroom facilities, forest trails and the car parks to name but a few.

I'm thinking of Go Ape for my daughter's 7th birthday. Is there a place after to eat as a group and have a birthday cake? They say there is a picnic area but it will be mid February so a picnic may not work!

Work is due to be completed before Easter 2015. The rest of the site and facilities will remain open during this time, and whilst the current café facilities have to close, alternative arrangements will be made on site.
