Could be a nice day out but just not used to its full potential and looking run down. Lots of empty enclosures and most of the enclosures they do have are too small, especially for the big cats. It has the set up of a farm park but has zoo animals in.
We spoke to someone working there about the size of the enclosures and they got very defensive and told us they don’t need space, they are healthy and well looked after. I am afraid you are mistaking healthy for happy. A long life bored in captivity is not better than a shorter life being free in the wild, or even just with a bigger, better enclosure. Apparently they are saving up for a bigger snow leopard enclosure but there is a review on here mentioning that from 2022, so that’s obviously going to be a long wait for the poor snow leopards.
On a side note the cafe / shop service was ridiculously slow and a very poor set up. The management of this whole site needs a revamp.

We enjoyed waiting for the animals to appear, looking for them rather than just seeing them on view all the time. Plenty of places for them to hide in if they didn't want to be seen! But I think we saw all the animals eventually, except the Eastern quoll. I would like to have seen the Eagle owl in a bigger aviary but perhaps he doesn't need it? Loved seeing the binturongs. We look forward to the snow leopards having a new pad. It would be helpful to have a price list in the cafe. Staff friendly and informative, and everywhere clean and tidy.

We came here to celebrate my daughters 4th Birthday and thought for the amount it cost it was terrible. £14 for an adult and £11.50 for a child . Were saw hardly any animals 2 zebras and 1 lion being the most exciting fir her however all looked very sad and miserable it was very overgrown which meant you couldnt see in hardly any of the animals enclosures.very dissapointed we walked around the whole zoo in around 20/30 mins not a day trip at all.

It was our first visit and although we knew it was a small zoo we weren’t expecting it to look so run down. I do appreciate that it must take an enormous amount of money to maintain and upkeep the animals and premises but it did feel like it needed a lot of TLC. We hardly saw any animals. They may have been tucked away sleeping but some of the enclosures seemed empty. The cafeteria was busy and there was only two people who appeared to be taking the orders and also prepping the lunches. We waited ages for toasted sandwiches although they were nice when they finally arrived. I don’t think we will return any time soon which is such a shame as they obviously do need the income to make the necessary improvements

Very disappointing visit. Zoo looks uncared for. Hard work pushing a buggy, had a very couldn't be bothered attitude permeating throughout. Prices expensive for a 2 year old. Cafe not a welcoming place to go.

We all loved our visit to Linton Zoo - even the discerning 16 year old! Despite the rain, we saw most of the inhabitants: the Scottish wildcat remained elusive but we spent a lot of time with the tiger, lions and snow leopard. We loved the family of tapirs! The vegetation is lush, the park is really well looked after, lots of signs of new development. The staff are all friendly and welcoming - and the passion for conservation is very apparent. A great day out!

Visited this so called Zoo and was shocked by what was there, run down enclosures, not many animals more bird orientated, this place is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly as the path ways are more like tracks……..the tiger was pacing up and down its enclosure and seemed to be in distress, the enclosures were far too small and many were overgrown……you can walk around the Zoo in about 15 minutes………there is another wildlife park in the same area which was very impressive indeed…..go there instead and don’t waste your money here

We live local and this was our first trip, trying to support locally. 2 adults, one baby and one child under 5, we paid 41£ and expected to see some animals… the area was quite pram unfriendly as the walk paths are just that, walk paths. So in some places it was really hard to push the pram, we didn’t see lions nor the tiger as everything was quite overgrown and no viewing points there. Zoo was mostly birds oriented.
The toilets were only by the entrance so if you pregnant or need the loo bit more, it’s not good. There are no bins anywhere, if you make rubbish you take it home, which is fine however some people leave rubbish anyway and it is just flying around as even if you pick it is nowhere to put it.
Previously have visited a small zoo owened privately by a family and was way better organised and priced also acomodated for prams or wheelchairs.
We had a lovely family day out but sadly it’s not a place we would like to add to the list of come back. We would give 4 out of 10

We thought Linton Zoo was lovely. It is primarily a breeding centre, but that doesn't mean you can't get a fantastic view of the animals. Because it's walkways are secluded you feel as if you are discovering the animals as you walk. Has a nice big play area and picnic zone for families. Spent over two hours walking around watching. Animals looked happy and looked after. Definitely visiting again.

What a beautiful place. From the moment we arrived to when we left all of the staff were really friendly. The place was very relaxed. The animals all seem happy. Their surroundings were fab, spacious and clean . Everything about it was a fabulous experience. I did the big cat experience which was great and not rushed. John the keeper was informative and very friendly. The people just seem to really care about their animals.

It is not a huge zoo, but if you are travelling from far away I would recommend also visiting nearby Shepreth Zoo as well, another small but delightful zoo.
