Yes, we did the Mayflower tour on a whim while we were waiting for our whale watch time. There were numerous historians located around the ship and on the outside of the ship to provide information and answer questions, and I must say they were very knowledgeable!

you can see the outside of ship from the pier but in order to get closer, you need to buy a ticket which then leads you through this maze of a few pictures and some "facts' strung up on the make shift walls (think sheets hang up like an office cubicle). IMO, was NOT worth the $15 because the boat was empty, NOTHING was inside (props, sacks of food/flour/etc, furniture) and no tour guide to 'talk' about the adventure.

Sorry my reply is late, I'm seeing this question for the first time today, September 2nd. The Mayflower is docked at the State Pier at Pilgrim Memorial State Park and is a stationary exhibit. You may step aboard the ship and learn the history of the ship and see the quarters of the crew, captain and where the Pilgrims were below deck during the voyage of 1620.

No. The Mayflower is not back yet. It is now anticipated that it will return in the early Fall.

We had the Boston go cards that included the Mayflower II so I can't say how much it costs but you might want to check out the Boston go card if you want to do more than the Mayflower. I would definitely recommend the walking tour @the Jenney Museum

The Mayflower is on the State Pier, downtown on the waterfront. There is angle street parking for a good-sized truck, but not for the trailer. About a half-mile north, maybe a quarter-mile beyond the Town Pier and the rotary, there is a big parking lot that can handle tour buses (we see a lot of those). Also on the Town Wharf behind the East Bay Grille is the public boat landing with room for cars with boat trailers. I do not know if there are rules about non-boat trailers there. Check out the Google Map of the area with Street View to see if it might suit your needs.
