Well for me having the wonderful Chef Jeffery Scott cooking for you is to die for no matter even if it’s just French fries.
However the current vintage of wines were to light for my taste. I didn’t find any I could buy. Then they bought out the library selection. I bought a bottle of Old Hat. Awesome! A full body Zin and Petite Syrah. It can complete with anyone. It needs to be decanter.
Skip the current vintages and go for the library selection. 2006 Old Hat!
However the current vintage of wines were to light for my taste. I didn’t find any I could buy. Then they bought out the library selection. I bought a bottle of Old Hat. Awesome! A full body Zin and Petite Syrah. It can complete with anyone. It needs to be decanter.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at Lone Madrone so much that we joined the wine club! Wines were great, location beautiful (hill top, breezes, amazing view) and the staff attentive, informative, and kind. Highly recommend stopping in on Burger Sunday. The food is amazing as well!

All of us agreed that these wines were very disappointing and average for the most part. We rarely finished our tasting samples.

We are very sorry to hear our wines were not to your liking, but hope you enjoyed your time while you were in the tasting room!
As with all wines, it is a very subjective thing. What you and your group decided was not to your liking happens to also be very sought after to others. It is our hope that the next time you are in the area you may give us another shot. We continually change our tasting flight and there may be other wines that play to your palate in a receptive manner. Thank you for your candid response, but please understand that in wine, not all palates react the same way to certain styles and with these reviews we hope you can take the experience you received into account rather than your preference of wine style.

We had a quick 24 hours in Paso to squeeze in all the wine we could. Lone Madrone was our favorite stop! Comfortable tasting room, super kind employee, and delicious wine. Highly recommend!

Went here with my wife and another couple for Father's day. It was crowded of course though service was still friendly, great and surprisingly fast. The Sunday burgers were great and we had a number of different wines on the tasting that we all loved. Very big wine list with a number of different varietals. Highly recommended.

Having visited 10 wineries around Paso Robles, Lone Madrone was by far our favorite. Steve, who worked the tasting room, was delightful and full of information about the winery and the area. The owner of Lone Madrone is also the winemaker at Tablas Creek, so it was interesting to compare the two. Tablas Creek is very good too, but Lone Madrone creates some imaginative, different wines. There are few wineries where we like every wine we taste. When that happens, we usually join their wine club. That was the case at Lone Madrone.

My husband and I are wine club members at Lone Madrone, and recently we decided to try their private Pinnacle Tasting with another couple we brought with us. We really enjoyed the Pinnacle Tasting with Britta! We always love learning more about the winery, and Britta was so knowledgeable and personable. She made the experience what we hoped it would be. And, of course, we have to say we love the wine, since that's what it's all about! We also came home with some of their cider, which our daughter loves! They have a friendly and easy-going tasting room. All the wine pourers there greet you when you walk in, and are friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by for a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in for some wine tasting. Had a great bottle of The Dodd. They were serving burgers. Wife had the beef burger, was very happy. I had the lamb burger. One of the best I have had.

Did at tasting at the bar here. Went through multiple different types of wine (they have a lot), lots of bigger reds, and they are not scared of oak. The wine educator was really great, and really knew her stuff.
Also there is a really friendly wine dog.

Owner is the wine maker for Tablas Creek so he knows what he is doing for sure! Unique wines here that are definitely worth checking out! Server was friendly, but was really new so not as informative as some other servers we ran across. Real pretty area and one that I would go back to next time we are in Paso.
