This is one of the best entertainment venues in Southern California. They have plays, musicals, comedians & concerts. This is Broadway quality entertainment with many professional actors and musicians. We’ve been coming here for years and finally got season passes. We have not been disappointed. Such a great evening with a beautiful atmosphere. We love it!

Went to the La Mirada yesterday. Had no trouble parking as we arrived 45 minutes early and wandered the nearby shopping plaza. Our tickets were at Will Call and a very friendly volunteer walked us thru the theater to the other entrance where the WC windows were located. Would have been easy for us just to walk around the building, but this was a nice touch.
The actual entrances to the seating area are VERY close to the doors, which means ticket takers are right at the exterior entrances, which was a bit strange. Means if you go in to look around or buy a drink or use the bathroom, that heading to your seat makes you have to "swim upstream" against the tide of incoming patrons.
There were numerous sound issues at our show, from microphones cutting out mid line, or not starting up until a few words were out, to one song being partially unintelligible due to electronic noise. The loading and unloading of props felt awkward and there was a small collision near the end that briefly broke the mood.
The acting and music were excellent, and that's the most important part, but the facility issues need to be improved

This was our first time here to watch Beautiful, a Carole King musical. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior is great. The lobby area alone is super comfortable and has a bar for coffee or mixed drinks. The staff is very friendly and kind and they have a selfie poster area to take pictures. Since it's located in a big strip mall you will find plenty of free parking.

Love this theatre! I am a season subscriber. I was here for the National Tour of On Your Feet! Performers were incredible, sets were amazing, band was rockin'! The ushers were professional and very helpful. I always have a good time here.

This is one of my fav theatres in the area, the staff is always friendly, prices reasonable, clean, and spacious! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! If you are looking for a place for date night or family night and are near or far come give them a visit!
This is my second time here, the first was for The King and I, the second Jospeh and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. We decided to be season ticket holders because it was well worth the price. Support local theatres! Read on for the 23-24 Season

My husband and I came to La Mirada specifically to see The King and I at La Mirada Theater of Performing Arts. The theater was very nice. They have a lot of volunteers who are so helpful. They give a veterans discount. We were pleased with our seats in the balcony. The performance was spectacular, along with wonderful actors and actresses. The sound was good, which is particularly important for a musical. We wish we had a theater like this near us. Such a wonderful amenity to any city.

My wife and I have seen numerous shows at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and have always been impressed with both the venue and the production. The stage performances here are neither cheesy nor amateurish. McCoy Rigby Entertainment, the production arm of the amphitheater, is known for putting on well-staged, professional-level shows; the performances we’ve seen have confirmed that reputation. Both the lighting and sound were excellent, and the sightlines seemed to be good from all parts of the theatre.
There is a wine bar in the lobby, but you should NOTE that if you want something substantial to eat, you should plan to enjoy a meal locally beforehand. The seats are comfortable and there is more-than-adequate legroom. The acoustics are good, the theatre staff is professional and helpful, and the temperature in the theatre is comfortable. The combination of a good show at a pleasant venue pretty much ensures a great experience!

We are season ticket holders to several local and regional theaters. We like to make weekend trips out of the shows. We have seen some wonderful and memorable theatrical performances here. I will never forget Singing in the Rain when it rained on stage. The acting and staging are top-notch; it rivals the major theaters which are three times (plus) the cost. Our latest show at La Mirada was Young Frankenstein. It was hilarious. The sound system here is fantastic. We used to have season tickets, centered and only 6 rows back, but one day when we arrived a bit late, we sat on an aisle in the back. When we renewed our season tickets, we moved back to row Q and love it. There is no seat in this theater which is not wonderful. We will be season ticket holders forever.

This is an annual event for our family, which we look forward to and cherish each year. The show has been the same for a good number of years and last year there was no show due to Covid so we really didn’t know what to expect this year! The fact there was even a show thrilled us!
What we saw was lovely, heartwarming, VERY Christmassy while also adding nods to Hanukkah, Diwali and Lunar New Year. The most beautiful music, fantastic choreography and those LED walls! We loved it! Went back with friends twice! Since the school has been closed for covid, the cast was not as huge but they still filled that big stage! There were new numbers that were amazing - a New Orleans Christmas and a Stomp-like number, too.
Can’t wait til they come again next year! Well done, Young Americans!

Disappointed in this year’s production and talent. Seemed like they had far less than half of the performers that didn’t measure up to what we’ve have seen over the years. Far less props as well. The “Magic of Christmas” was missing as show strayed away from the theme of Christmas. Hopefully they will recover after the pandemic and return to the fabulous performances that we grew to except.
