About 3 kms from Sirohi. The 15th century grand "Sarneshwar Temple" of Deora Rajkul is established away. This Temple is built in the form of a fort. Apoorvadevi, the wife of Maharao Labaji, got the idol of Hanumanji established in this temple in 1526.
Here the biggest fair of Rebari caste is organized on Bhadrapada Shukla Dwadashi. A milk tank is situated near it, near which are the umbrellas of the Sirohi royal family.
The very Beautiful Idols of Lord and also in the roof of the Doom have very fine carved sculptures ,of Lord Krishna & Goppies in all direction in Dancing poses.
Raghuveer Singh, the former king of Sirohi, tells that in 1298, Alauddin Khilji destroyed the Mahadev temple of Rudramal located in Sidhpur, Gujarat and returned via Sirohi by tying the Shivling there in a cow's skin, but the Maharao of Sirohi did not let him go further and Defeated in the war, Shivling was installed in Sirohi. Today this place is known as Sarneshwar Mahadev. Water flows between the mountains behind this temple

Must Know- In rainy days the premises is slippery . Better to keep your footwears in your vehicle.
Water bottle must have.
Due to CORONA protocol he upper hill pathway is closed for pilgrims.
The approaching road from highway is is patchy , Drive slow, The large vehicle is difficult to parked .

This beautiful, ancient historically important SARNESHWAR TEMPLE is one of the imports tourist attraction of Sirohi town.
The history of this temple is dated back to 1298 BC when king of Sirohi mahrao vijairaj ji defeated army of aaludin khilji & took control of the idol & installed the same here in sinarwa mountains.the ideol was brought from sidhpur gujrat after destroying the famous temple.
Later the full temple & its border were built which we see now.
Subsequently the temple became family temple of royal devda rajput of Sirohi.
The temple is run & maintained by devesthan department, govt of rajasthan. Which is huge is size & is having beautiful carvings on walls.
I think the whole temple premise deserve better upliftment & maintenance.

Very old temple. This temple belongs to the King of sirohi. The temple have huge influence on the people from this district. There are various sub temples in the premises of main temple. There is also a pond near by which looks great in rainy season. The annual meet activity during August-September is great view. People also believe this to be place of pray where your wishes come true.
