It was simply excellent! Great support from Wayne as we canoed 6 miles along the River Wye, Wayne knew the river exceptionally well and gave us lots of nature information during the trip. Definitely recommended.

Amazing experience Kayaking! Absolutely loved it, views were beautiful and the guide was super friendly and helpful, seen some lovely birds also!

This is the 4th time I’ve booked through Way2Go and each time it never disappoints such a fun day, Wayne is so knowledgeable you always feel in safe hands, Di is brilliant in the organisation and I wouldn’t use anyone else for my annual trip with my girlfriends, the gorge walk is simply amazing and such a fun thing to do ! Highly recommend!

Back from a fantastic weekend, canoeing down the River Wye - family get-together, 6 adults and dog, guided by Wayne. We arrived Friday evening, canoed for 2 days, camping in between. Wayne and Di organised everything perfectly. Wayne guides gently on the river, tells tales of the riverbank and joins in with the banter. And then there is his catering! Very yummy food all along the way. This is our second expedition with Wayne. The first (River Spey) was brilliant and this was too. Wayne has the best equipment- he has everything covered. He is a super guide and the best river buddy you could have. We'll be back for more!

We had such a great day. If you've never tried Gorge Walking, I can thoroughly recommend it, especially in such a special place. They area we went to was full of natural beauty blended with forgotten mining history. Wayne made sure we were safe at all times while scaling waterfalls. And he so obviously has a true passion for the place, telling us so much about how the landscape was shaped by both nature and mankind.
All in all, a wonderful and refreshing experience. Thank you. 😊

Just got back from the half day guided SUP experience and would highly recommend booking this for anyone staying in around Forest of Dean close to Monmouth. From booking, Di was in touch with all the details and on hand to answer any questions. On the day we were all immediately put at ease by Wayne and Di. As someone who has zero balance, not naturally an out door activity type of person, i was a little nervous about the SUP. I needn't have been, Wayne was brilliant. Helped me get stood up and was a real confidence booster thoughout. My 12 year old really loved the session. He was a natural on the board but the best bit for him was falling in the river and pushing us off our boards. Would highly recommend booking with Di and Wayne for any ability level and a really fun day out.

Had a great afternoon. Thank you Di and Wayne. Your patience and kindness was just what was needed. You helped us walk on water. And even falling in was fun.

Well organised family run team. Excellent communication from Di, especially when a late change of meeting place was required. The tuition was very friendly from Wayne for the Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in the morning and Paul for the canoeing in the afternoon. Both instructors offered encouragement and advice, and were very patient with our limited confidence and experience on the water, especially with the SUP. All in all it was a wonderful day, with excellent guidance, and wonderful views of the river. Highly recommended, and we will visit again the next time we are staying at Forest Holidays in the Forest of Dean.

We booked a half day kayaking on the River Wye. The service we received from Di & Wayne was excellent from start to finish. Wayne was a fantastic group leader: incredibly relaxed, cheerful and experienced. I immediately felt at ease even though I have not paddled in a 14ft touring kayak before. Wayne had extensive local knowledge and managed to coach me kayaking whilst simultaneously entertaining everyone with his wit and wisdom. Thank you to Wayne & Di for a great day out on the water.

Booked a last-minute half day (pm) gorge walking / scrambling with them online for two people. They emailed me asking if I could move my booking to the morning (as we were only two people). I explained that we could not move the day and that we were only in the area for a day and could not make the morning sessiib. I told them that I would make other arrangements (which I did) and asked them to make a refund. They then tried to move me to the Friday (even though they knew we were not available that day. They did say that they could honour the original booking in the second email, but by then, I had made other arrangements (as I did tell them in the first email). Again, I asked for a refund. I sent two further emails and messaged them before they confirmed that they would arrange the refund that day. However, it wasn't until the next day they advised that they would make a refund "as a gesture of goodwill." However, they would not refund me the booking fee. Have checked with my credit card company, and they have still not received this refund. It's not acceptable that I am left out of pocket. They should not have taken my booking of they don't want to run a session with just two people. This experience has ruined our short visit to Wales. I will not be dealing with this company ever again.

Hi,
I am coming to Wales next weekend, 21st May. Wanted to book afternoon canoeing, but worried as predicted to rain a lot days before and I am a complete novice. Presume the river might not be tame enough for a middle aged first timer!

Hi Thank you for your message. Apologies we had not seen it earlier. For safety of our customers and staff due to high winds and high river levels over the the weekend including Friday 21st we cancelled all our bookings on the river and re-arranged for other dates or relocated to canal. Hope you are enjoying your stay in Wales

Apologies that you have not received a reply, I answer all enquiries that I receive, If you could please let us know what method of contact you used for your enquiry and I will check it out to see if there has been any issues.
I haven't received any enquiries over the last few days for 4 people kayaking. If you could please let me know what date you are looking to book and I will check our availability. Once a gain my apologies I reply to emails received within 24hrs. .

Hi Thank you for your question. What dog do you have? We allow dogs in the canoes so long as they are not really large dogs. Unfortunately there is no room for any dog in the kayaks as we use the closed cockpit kayaks not the sit on tops. Hope this is helpful.
