For me, this day trip was my favorite part of the stay in Vienna. What a beautiful place. Just like all beautiful little towns, it’s obviously benefitting and suffering from tourism. I don’t know what the solution is but please, at least, clean up after yourselves and respect residents’ privacy. And spend money there. Not just take the cliche selfie and leave. As for Marco from White Alligator Tours, who drove us there and other short stops, he was super. Very informative. Such a long day, but he made us feel very safe with his attentive driving. The local tour guide (whose name I stupidly can’t recall) at Hallstatt was also very informative. We’re grateful for her hospitality. I wish her and her pretty town all the best.
