An absolutely brilliant evening of cheese and wine pairings. Victoria our tutor was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely recommend The Kent Wine School to those people looking to have an amazing, and memorable event.

Excellent event held at our home with very informed host. Well informed and good fun able to adapt the numbers of us ahead of time.

Excellent day & Jonny was incredibly knowledgeable & had a relaxed and enjoyable teaching style. Learnt a lot about French wines, we usually go for New World wines, so it was interesting to learn the history & taste the wines of this Old World region. The maps were excellent too. Good to be part of a group, very sociable after all the wines we tried :-) This is an excellent gift, our daughter was gifted this experience, and as her parents we decided to join her - lucky her!! Thoroughly recommend it.

Enjoyed the afternoon and definitely knew we had had a drink. I think I would have preferred a larger price range between the wines.
The experience was spoilt by the lunch which I did not enjoy at all. I would have thought that Hotel du Vin would have used this as an opportunity to attract further custom as most of us were fairly local. I had a large piece of breaded chicken and a tablespoon of salad leaves followed by a nice dessert. The alternative was the vegetarian option or fish. As we had to order 2 days before I don't understand why they couldn't have offered their full bistro menu and perhaps some sides to accompany.

Thanks for your review and for attending the Saturday Taste of France wine course. I note your comment about price ranges.
I will feed your comments back to Hotel du Vin about the food. We buy a set two course lunch from them and this does have limited choice.

I recently attended the 3 day WSET Level 2 course run by Jonny at the Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. I found it extremely enjoyable and learnt so much about wine. Jonny was a master in the delivery of content and having wines to taste in each session certainly brought it to life ! I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take a step forward with their knowledge of wines.

An excellent evening of Cheese and Wine Tasting. Gorgeous cheese paired perfectly with good wines. Scott was clear in explanation, highly informeative and easy to ask questions. It was a great evening and thank you.

I have just completed WSET level 2. Not only did I learn a lot, but it was good fun. was a little apprehensive at first as most of the others in the class were in the trade whereas I am only an enthusiastic amateur but Victoria explained things in a way a layman can understand and appreciate. I thoroughly recommend this programme if you want to broaden your knowledge and experiment with something outside your normal range.

Victoria's background in geography adds a fascinating and memorable way to learn about wines from different regions: how soils, aspect, altitude, temperature and proximity to water bodies affects the choice of grapes and the flavours. I thoroughly enjoyed the 8-week wine course - as well as a previous evening 'Posh or Plonk?' and feel that I have a much improved beginner's understanding of how to approach this vast subject and the delightful related topic of which foods go best with which wines. Lots more to come!

A well organised event with lots of different Italian wines to try. By the end of the afternoon, we were a little bit wiser and very friendly with the other guests in the event! Cheese and biscuits with the red wine in the afternoon was a nice touch. Thanks Jonny, my sisters, mum and I had a really enjoyable day!
