Torn between skipping the peakaboo loop and heading to Zion for the remainder of the day. At least take in the drive/beauty to Springdale and maybe grab a Zion brew. Should we continue with the figure 8 or make the drive? What’s the pro for spending more time on the peakaboo trail?

if i come accros any dangours animals and i am seperated away from my group how would i act? i am asking this cuase i dont want to be apart from my group and a dangerous animal atack me i wamt to know what to do

Have a three night reservation at the Lodge at Bryce Canyon in late summer. We anticipate crowds so plan to rise early (at dawn) to do hikes, before relaxing in the afternoon. Have some questions for those of you who have traveled to Bryce Canyon and or stayed at the lodge: 1) what is the best time of day to arrive in the area to avoid congestion driving in the park? Am thinking that if we got close to the area around 2:30 in the afternoon, hopefully the drive to the lodge would be less hectic than arriving in the morning; 2) which route is less tiresome on Queensland trail (go down switchbacks rather than up?); 3) What time of day is less congested for traveling south on Highway 89 towards Zion? Is the view better when driving south on the highway than the reverse? [I read that somewhere] Thank you! DM

Just wondering if taking in the Arches and Bryce would be too much for a 3 day trip. If I make it out there I really want to see both since I probably won’t get another trip. I haven’t looked at travel times from the SLC airport yet...sorry! Maybe I start at Arches then head to Bryce? Which makes the most sense if it’s doable?

We are planning a trip around Christmas to Bryce with kids. How many days do you think we should do, and should we try to do Zion as well? We are hoping for snow. Thanks for your help!

Hi, we will be visiting Bryce in 3 weeks and wondering how crowded it is right now. With COVID, I am a bit concerned about the crowds on the trams as well as popular trails. And, we have reservations at Bryce Canyon Lodge in the park which may be busy and difficult to social distance. Lastly, are masks common or mixed? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am planning on doing some longer day hiking in Bryce on September 8th and 9th. How should I plan to dress? I am not sure how hot or cold it could get. Not sure how many layers I should pack, will I need pants or shorts, and is a light jacket good enough to get me through? Do I need a warm hat or gloves in the mornings/evenings? Suggestions for that time of year please!

If I only have 5 hours total in Bryce, I don't need to hear I need more time I don't have it. Do I do the best of and take the drive around and stop it all the stops do I shorten that and pick one hike to do one to two hours like the Queen's garden any suggestions.
