We had a great time, the staff were friendly and always on hand to help! It was very challenging however was definitely worth doing and would be something that my partner and I would do again! The location was lovely and there is a nice cafe attached!

Brilliant experience, Ella the instructor was so friendly, welcoming and happy to assist. Thorough training and really enjoyed the courses. 4 different ones, a few route options for moderate or extreme, both enjoyed.

Awesome day out wind, rain or shine. Took my 16 & 17 year olds on a Segway and tree top challenge at GoApe. Fantastic way to see the forest. Both are priced at £38pp. The Segways were so much fun and lasted an hour and the Tree Top Challenge took a good 2-3hrs to complete, Excellent value for money. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. There's a small pay and display carpark on arrival and an outdoor toilet block. There is also a small cafe selling hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and good lunch menu. There's a beautiful lake you can walk around, the path is accessible for wheelchair users with lots of seating all the way around. We saw dog walkers, families with babies and push chairs, couples picnic ing on benches. I can see this place getting busy in the summer cos it's just beautiful.

We had a booking for 6 adults but due to the weather the booking was cancelled and asked to reschedule. That would have been fine except they had since increased the price and I was asked to pay an additional £18 even though we hadn't cancelled the booking and it was out of our hands. So Go Ape was happy to refund our £210 rather than waive the additional £18. We love Go Ape but this just seems really bad business and not putting their loyal customers first! So disappointed and unsure if we will book again due to this, all for the sake of £18.

We are booked to go to Mallards Pike on Sunday 7th April at 11:30. There is a storm coming in over the weekend with 50mph winds forecast for the location. I've called in twice now to find out whether I can move our booking or whether the site will be closed due to unsafe weather to be told that within 1 week there is a £5 charge and it can't be changed within 48hours but they will only tell us whether the site will be closed or marked as amber "closer to the time". So we must risk either losing our booking if we don't pay £5 now or pitch up in the middle of a storm which is just unsafe. Terrible booking process. Don't even want to support a company like this and grace them with our presence.

Can honestly say what a great place, myself & my children/ family had the best time, so much fun & laughs, murry our instructor made us laugh & felt so safe with his guidance, lovely staff, so welcoming & good at putting you at ease so you enjoy the whole experience, 💯 recommend & will definitely be booking again 👌🏻

This was such a fun experience to do with my boyfriend. He had never done one before and we had such a laugh doing this course! Really good activity to do and this location was lovely

What a way to challenge yourself!! Excellent facilities and so well organised. Felt very secure and safe in my harness. Briefing was excellent and being shown how to use the equipment was very good.
Never for 1 minute felt at risk. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Whole body is aching but proud to say course was completed (eventually!! LOL)
Highly recommended for a great day out!
Down side? Having to pay for the parking , but worth it to ensure the forest is maintained.
Facilities include a Cafe onsite and toilets.
Water cups and fresh water at each of the stations was an added bonus, as was the free lockers at the start of the experience.
All in all a fantastic experience that I would recommend.
Also on offer is Segway experience that looks like good fun. We never took part in that but saw the practice before they set off.
There is also a cycle path through the forest but, I'm not sure if they do cycle hire so maybe check before you go.
Dogs are also welcomed.

If you arrive early is there things to do or do you have to wait outside for your time slot?

You have to arrive at least 15 mins before your time slot anyway. If you are earlier there are lots of people just walking around and walking their dogs in the forest. There is a cafe area too to kill a bit of time

My 10 year old daughter wants to go to Go Ape fif her birthday and take a friend. Neither are super adventurous. I am also a little uneasy of heights. We are planning to go to Forest of Dean or Moors Valley. Not sure which course would be best for us? I imagine my daughter will probably want me to be with them on the course. Anyone recommend which place and course would be best?

My daughter was 11 and loved the harder course, I am average fitness and no fear of heights and was fine but it is quite challenging if you are unfit. Would be awful to pay and have to be taken off as I assume if you had to be taken off the children would have to come off too as you need to supervise them on higher course. I have seen children and parents taken off the much lower and less adventurous course at Bristol Zoo so I would think carefully and maybe take them to a climbing wall first to test their fears.

What’s the best way to get to Go ape from Bristol? Also any hotel/b&b close by?

Thanks for the question Eleanor. Ami has it spot on - thanks for contributing Ami. Take the A48 to Blakeney and then follow the brown signs to Go Ape! Our postcode (GL15 4HD) won't always take you to the exact location so it's best to ignore it and head to Blakeney then follow the (small) Go Ape signs to head up to the cabin. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled but this is the best way of getting to Go Ape. For B&B and Hotels check out the Forest of Dean page on our website. Hopefully see you for an adventure soon!

i have 2 grandsons aged 6 and 7 , do i go up with them or do staff go up to see they are safe ect.

There were some kids heading round on their own, others with an adult. I'm not quite sure how they decided which. Either way they are totally safe as they are securely clipped on at the start and can only unclip after the zip wire at the end.
