We toured with Luis, Donovan and Sydmarie; it was such a wonderful time out on the water. Check-in process was easy, and there were bathrooms & changing stalls available before/after the tour. The boat ride was as smooth as it could be with the larger waves that day. The boat had plenty of opportunity for shade or sun, with an upper deck with seating if you want extra adventure and sun! On the second snorkeling stop, they allowed anyone interested to jump off the top deck into the water; which was just the right distance for any age to jump off. No impact pain!! :) We did see a couple sea turtles, a sea cucumber and conches on the second stop; I think the water was a little cloudy that day, but it was still fun out on the open water. My favorite snorkeling on this trip was actually when the boat anchored right off the Vieques Island. We did not see any sting rays or turtles, but I saw an incredible variety of small fish along the reef on the island. My favorite was the flounder fish who every time it saw me, it would flatten out along the coral. You could tell the coral has taken a hit here, but hopefully it will come back soon with some time & attention to the island. We also saw one lionfish, which was surprising, and then we learned they were an invasive species, and typically hunted by local fisherman/killed as they eat basically everything including the local reef fish. There is virtually nothing to kill the lionfish naturally unfortunately. I really enjoyed the time we were allowed on the island to snorkel at our pleasure, as I feel I saw more fish with the number of people on the tour doing that, then when we were out on the water and people were splashing their fins/running into each other. We did have a delicious lunch and snacks, as well as some rum beverages on the way back which was a perfect end to a beautiful day! Last but not least, this is a plug to wear reef-safe sunscreen and rashguards. Don't be responsible for killing the coral!! Thanks!!!

This trip was fantastic! A short boat ride over to Vieques Island landed us on a small beach at first. We snorkeled off the beach seeing a range of fish as well as a shy octopus and a spotted eel. After that, the boat took us a little off shore to a seagrass bed where we met over a dozen Green sea turtles, a huge stingray, and another eel.
The guides on board (Juan, Donovan, and ???) and Capt. Luis were all helpful and informative. They were determined everyone had a great experience (and a safe one).
It wasn't just the trip and the crew. We had originally signed up for this trip on Sunday. but had to be changed because of the boat show. Then the new trip had to changed because of weather. In each case, Jessica was right on top of things with communications. She offered options and could not have been more clear and helpful.
I will most definitely go on another trip with them next time I am in Puerto Rico. Great organization across the board.

We had a beautiful day snorkeling around Vieques Island. Sidmarie, Luis, and Donovan were wonderful hosts, and you could tell they really enjoy what they do. They were conscious of our safety, and protecting the ecosystem, all while making sure everyone has a great time. We will absolutely take a tour with them again on our next trip to PR. Thank you!

We had an absolute blast! Safety was a priority, and so was fun. The crew was friendly and enthusiastic, appropriate for all ages :) Highly recommend! Even though it started to rain while we were out, we still saw multiple sea turtles, stingrays and tropical fish.

We had a absolute amazing time today! Saw tons of marine life and 3 sea turtles. They first brought us to a beach to test out our snorkeling gear and make sure that everything fit correctly. Then then moved us out. A little further by boat over the reef and sea grass! Juan was one of the crew on board and he found out my son wanted to see a sea turtle and wants to learn more about being a marine biologist. After majority people were done snorkeling he hopped back in and showed him several cool marine life and explained what they were! They were all personable, kind, generous and adventurous. We will be using them again and will recommend them every time!!!

This tour was great all around. The crew was super informative and friendly. They took us to a beach (no one else was there but our group) where they gave a lesson on how to snorkel so we could practice. Then they took us to a bit deeper waters to snorkel for real where we saw sea turtles, sting rays and tons of fish! It was a great experience and easy way to see the island of Vieques.

Had a great day out on the boat with Pure Adventure. The perfect balance of professionals, adventure and fun. Safety was always first and the crew was fantastic. Captains Luis and Juan along with Donovan and SanMarie were knowledgeable, safe and fun. Highly recommend

We had a fantastic crew (Juan, Luis, Syd-Marie, and Donovan) for our snorkeling/beach trip to Vieques today. Our boat was appropriately named the “Fish Tank”. The guides were all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and safety conscious. Their easy to follow snorkeling instructions gave us all an opportunity to see turtles, sting rays, and many varieties of fish. The ride was very smooth and we saw lots of wildlife in a few different snorkeling locations. The main snorkeling event takes about 30-45 minutes but they had plenty of floaties for people who couldn’t swim the whole time. We enjoyed a nice crew-prepared lunch and a few beverages after snorkeling. Great for all ages and ability levels. Can’t recommend this tour and this crew highly enough.

Everything was perfect! Easy to find, changing area, bathrooms, lunch, instructions - all went really well. We were traveling with young teens and they were able to explore the boat, get extra attention when gear wasn't functioning. We were fortunate to have a small group. We saw many sea turtles, sea stars, sting ray and more! The water was divine!
Very knowledgeable and attentive guides - thank you so much! The highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico for sure!

Hi, I made a reservation for June 21st for 1pm snorkeling the Vieques. Unfortunately there seems to had been a glitch and my spot was not reserved. I have called everyday to get a hold of someone to sort this out. It would be my first time snorkeling and I don’t want to miss out because of system glitch. My group of friends will be doing the tour on June 21st at 1pm and I would rather not miss out.

Maybe try a company that operates out of Vieques. I can't see these guys dropping you off on the island after the trip. Should be plenty to choose from on the island.

Will we be able to visit the park office o the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge on this tour? Also, do we need to ferry over to the island or does this boat leave from San Juan?

I believe they do have that option, but we drove our rental car.
I think you would have to pay extra and you would want to contact Pure Adventure first to make sure.

We are coming to Puerto Rico in March and are so excited! I stumbled across this tour and was wondering if we had an older person who would not snorkel, but stayed on the boat would be possible to go?

Absolutely! We could see sting ray from the boat too! It’s truly beautiful just to see the rainforest from a distance and colors of the water are stunning.
